Shaver Lake is a small mountain resort community on the west slope of the Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains in Central California.  Known for it's abundant year-round outdoor recreation and its rich history, our community is the favorite recreation and vacation area for Central California.  Our climate is mild, while we get plenty of snow in the winter, our average temperature in the summer is a perfect 84 degrees.  Little has changed over the last 40 years.  The business district is quaint and unpretentious.  People come to relax and enjoy the clean air and pure water, while taking in the spectacular countryside.

Shaver Lake and the surrounding recreation area offers abundant outdoor fun.  Snow skiing, water skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, bird hunting & watching, deer & bear hunting, lake fishing, canoing, kayaking, sailing and much more.
